Sometimes nature deals patients an incomplete set of teeth. This lady was missing her lateral incisors (the teeth next to the two front teeth). The other teeth shifted forward placing the canines in the lateral incisor tooth position. Laterals are skinny teeth, but canines are wide. Therefore, to make the smile harmonize we needed to transform the shapes of teeth. Notice how the finished case looks more like a normal set of teeth.
